Last month, on March 21, 2025, we were in a special place, during an equally special moment: the VASS anniversary event at Metropole in Druten. An inspiring venue brimming with energy, automotive expertise, and a sense of community. It felt like the perfect setting to celebrate our very first networking event as TransConnect. A new name that stands for connection, innovation, and care for the future.
A new face, well-known in the industry
We made our first public appearance under our new name, TransConnect. Although the name is new, our people, our commitment, and our approach are not. In fact, we are proud of our long-standing partnership with VASS and its members. For years, we have been transporting vehicles throughout Europe for car dealerships, with a focus on quality, speed, and service.
We celebrated that partnership during the VASS anniversary event. But we did more than just look back: we also made two announcements that underscore our shared path toward the future.
5% discount for VASS members
The first announcement: effective immediately, all VASS members will receive a standard 5% discount on international shipments via TransConnect. Why? Because we believe in long-term relationships. Because we know that price, predictability, and reliability matter in the day-to-day operations of car dealerships. And above all, because we want to actively support VASS members in their growth.
A biofuel boost for every member – while supplies last
Our second announcement had an extra festive touch. We presented a check to Chantal and Mirjam from VASS along with a generous offer: we are making a total of 1,000 liters of biofuel available to VASS members. First come, first served — while supplies last.
With this initiative, we aim to reduce the use of fossil fuels and, in contrast, encourage the use of biodiesel. The Biofuel Swap is part of our commitment to significantly reduce the CO₂ footprint of vehicle transportation. And above all: it’s easy to implement for all affiliated companies.
VASS as a network and a driving force
For years, VASS has been a major player in connecting independent auto repair shops across the Netherlands. The network offers members not only expertise and advocacy, but also access to reliable partners and innovative solutions.
As TransConnect, we actively contribute to this. Not only through competitive transportation services, but also by helping to build a more sustainable, stronger automotive sector. We do this by listening, innovating, and collaborating. The anniversary event was the perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate that commitment.
