How does the CO₂ compensation option work?

 The CO₂ compensation option works in five steps.

  1. First, select the Compensation option when placing your order — TransConnect estimates your transport's CO₂e emissions using EcoTransIT World.

  2. Second, you pay a fee based on those estimated emissions, shown transparently at checkout.

  3. Third, via TransConnect's partner Ecommit, a matching quantity of carbon credits is purchased and retired — removed permanently from circulation and non-reusable.

  4. Fourth, your transport is carried out as normal.

  5. Fifth, you receive quarterly confirmation listing the retired credits and a unique certificate number.

The project is certified through Proba, with conditional ICROA recognition, and is independently audited annually by Bureau Veritas d.o.o.
