What is the Biofuel Swap?

The Biofuel Swap is an optional sustainability add-on available when placing a transport order with TransConnect. When you select it, an equivalent volume of HVO100 biodiesel — a fuel made from 100% renewable raw materials — is added to the Dutch fuel distribution network on behalf of your order.

This reduces the net fossil fuel consumption in the system, even if the truck carrying your vehicle does not run on HVO itself. The Biofuel Swap was introduced on 1 November 2024 in partnership with FincoEnergies.
