Can delays at a compound result in additional charges?

Yes. Delays at a compound can result in additional charges depending on the cause and duration. If the carrier has to wait because the vehicle is not ready for collection, waiting time charges apply after the first free 30 minutes — €30 excluding VAT per subsequent 30-minute period, up to a maximum of €90 excluding VAT.

If the collection cannot take place at all due to circumstances attributable to the customer or compound — such as missing documentation, incorrect access credentials, or incorrect opening hours — fault freight charges of 50% of the transport price may apply.

To avoid additional charges, always ensure that all access requirements, documentation, and planning information are correctly provided before the transport is scheduled.
